2008 Chardonnay


Time for a white? I picked up this great wine from Vons last week and I was very impressed. At just under $15 a bottle it proved to be a great weekly buy.  Its flavors are citrus but mellow with a very clean smooth finish. I don't know about you but in these times I am always looking for a great deal without compromising the flavor and taste.

How is the new year treating you?  So far, I think it has been ok.  I had my sunglasses stolen from the gym, and was not too happy about that.  But very happy that we headed to Napa for Valentines Day.  We are going once again to Beringer's Valentines Day dinner. I am so excited! They always do an AMAZING job with awesome food and wine. I will let you know how that goes next month.

We started the year off right with this awesome wine -

1998 DVX Mumm Napa Valley


The DVX never ceases to amaze me.  It is very crisp and clear with a smooth taste.  The smell was of toasted vanilla.  The taste hinted of carmel.  This was an excellent bottle of wine to start off the new year.

I hope everyone had a great and safe New year!  May 2010 be THE year!
